Yishun Nature Park - Scoring another Accolade
ONG&ONG is delighted to announce that our Yishun Nature Park project has once again added to its haul of design awards. The project won a Silver Award at the 2017 edition of the Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects.
Prioritising sustainability and eco-friendly practices, Yishun Nature Park was envisioned as a community focal point – a place where community spirit and environmental awareness could grow hand in hand. Developed in accordance with a ‘Tree of Life’ theme, the Park contains an impressive variety of local flora and fauna. And with 16 Rain Gardens, vegetated swale systems, as well as an array of passive environmental controls, it undoubtedly exemplifies the finest in contemporary landscape design.
Building on its successes, Yishun Nature Park is poised to gain notice on the international stage. The project has also been shortlisted as a Finalist at the 2017 World Architecture Festival Awards for Landscape of the Year, with results due to be announced at the end of this year.
